EET 2.0 and Comgate terminals

Prev Next

At the beginning of 2027, the electronic registration of sales (EET 2.0) is coming back. In the case of Comgate services, it will affect card payments at the terminal.

When EET 2.0 is due to start

According to the current schedule, the system is due to be launched in pilot mode on 1 January 2027. Full operation is planned from 1 February 2027.

The dates may still change, as the law is not yet definitively approved. Keep an eye on the Financial Administration website.

Which payments EET 2.0 applies to

EET 2.0 should primarily apply to payments made in person, typically when selling at business premises (not, for example, to card payments via the payment gateway in an e-shop or bank transfers).

Therefore, the following should be registered:

  • card payments on a payment terminal in a shop or restaurant,

  • QR payments made on site by the customer,

  • cash payments for in-person sales.

Comgate solution – EET module

Comgate terminals will process EET via their own solution – the EET module.

The EET module will be available:

  • Free of charge for new and existing clients.

  • For all types of our terminals (for physical terminals as well as the Comgate POS mobile app).

You will be able to choose whether to use EET through the Comgate solution or your current POS system (if you use one).

We will publish details regarding activation and setup before the launch of EET 2.0.
